Washburn Community Outreach's Pantry is getting pretty low on groceries this month. February 16th, 2013, with snow flurries across the area, the shelve were pretty bare. Can you stand to buy a couple of extra cans when you're at the grocery and drop them off?
Director Cheryl Ledford, started in December and is running the center with former director, Angie Leek's help. Ann Teague is keeping up the Facebook page where she posts what's happening at the Outreach online.
Please, join their Facebook Page.

The Outreach is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 9 - 2. They are on Piney Mountain Road. Turn in by Washburn Store the center is about a block down, across from the pasture. Cheryl will join us Monday Night at the Golden Valley Community Meeting at First Broad and tell us what's happening with this local ministry.
If there are members of the community who have any experience with the Mana Food Bank, Cheryl could use your help, she's trying to connect to this food distribution group.
They always need helping hands at the center, so if you have a few hours you can volunteer, stop in they'll be glad to have the help. Whether it's one time or all the time, volunteer, you'll be glad you did.
